Silence – Meditation in Blue

Sound installation using turbine Fans with water pipes.

Klein Yves composed his significant piece – Monotone symphony in 1960. It is using simple tone – D major chord for the whole piece. However, the most important point is after the playing. The absolute silence will suddenly come out at last. It is not in any external environment but in audiences’ brain and their heart.

I used twelve water pipes attached with turbine Fans. Using programming to recompose the symphony and the silence.
